Smoking Ban Imminent – Do you comply? |
|
On July 1st 2007 smoking will no longer be permitted in public
places across England,
including public houses, clubs, etc. Those
responsible for these places will have a legal responsibility to ensure that
this ban is enforced; if not, an individual can face a fine of £2,500. In addition, on the spot fines of £200 can be
administered for failing to display ‘No Smoking' signs which may increase by up
to £1000 should the case go to Court.
Contour Signs Ltd manufactures No Smoking signs to ensure that all members of
the public are aware that they are entering a No Smoking area. With Braille and supplementary tactile text, and
relevant BS approved pictograms, our signs are your means to prevent prosecution
for non-compliance. They are also a
means of meeting the
The Disability Discrimination Act (1995) "reasonable adjustment" criteria and initial
implementation of the National Disability Council's guidelines on equality of access
they are effectively a "One sign solution".
